Young Money’s First Lady exclusively tells Rap-Up.com that one of her weapons of mass destruction is Kanye West. “I’m probably definitely going to work with Kanye,” she reveals.
She also spilled the names of other beatmakers who may grace the as-yet-untitled album. “On my debut, I worked with Sean Garrett. And probably Swizz Beatz, he’s gonna send me something.”
Nice to see these guys on the front cover of this magazine.XXL

“Asylum helped me immensely over the last four or five years in my career as far as taking, me, myself and UGK to another level. It’s just that the system in house changed. Todd Moskowitz got moved up to a higher position and it doesn’t give me as much of an opportunity to be hand on hand on a lot of stuff.”
Just when we all thought things between 50 and Ross would end for good, Ross’ baby mama Brooke decides to hit 50 with a lawsuit over the sex tape he mocked on his website BooBoo Tv. According to the Associated Press, Brooke who’s actual name is Lastonia Leviston, has filed a lawsuit against 50, yesterday (February 24) in New York City stating that he had distributed her sex tape over the internet without any given permission.Narrating the sex tape as his alter ego Pimpin’ Curly 50 spoke over the sex tape making funny remarks about Brooke and poking fun at Ross. There has been no word from 50 himself on this but damn, people are desperate for paper!
Looks like that old school west coast feel is coming back. Ice Cube announces his 9th studio album titled “I Am West” on a blog post he recently did. Check it out below
“I AM THE WEST…is the name of my new record. After completing about 65% of my music, this is the perfect title. This shit is cocky, no apologies, West Coast gangsta shit. I can’t help it. That’s what I do. June seems too tight for a release, but July is very doable. We’ll see how things go. Now that I have my title, I can work on the concept of my photoshoot and artwork. I want to provide early merch before the drop date.
For 7 or 8 years now the West Coast has been trying to do music that appeals to the South and Mid-West. The words, “too West Coast” would be heard throughout the industry whenever our music was played. Even by our own dj’s. Left coast MC’s were now trying to change their sound to cater to all the followers. We lost our way. Thank God for b-boys like Snoop, The Game & WC for keeping the West alive, but we were all guilty of over reaching. No more. At least not from me. I do it how I feel it; not how I think it should be done. Radio fucked us up. I hate the politics at radio. I don’t know who to pay to get my shit played. Having a hot song is not enough. Ridiculous.”
The R&B singer, whose single “Everything to Me” was produced by Missy, didn’t have the release date we were looking for, but she did offer a glimpse at what Misdemeanor’s got cooking. “She’s working really hard on it,” Monica tells Rap-Up.com. “She’s got some crazy music on there, some stuff I was trying to steal for my record.” However, she still managed to get away with a few goods. “I got a couple of things that she let me take, but she’s working really hard on [her album].”
One thing’s for certain. Missy’s handprint is all over Mo’s new album Still Standing. “Missy is big on my album. She’s been big on the last three,” she explains. “I think I realized that she and I had this chemistry when she called me and told me to fly to Miami tonight for a real good reason. And when I walked in the studio, she was playing ‘So Gone.’ She doesn’t even tell me anything, she just knows.”
Missy Elliott’s last album The Cookbook was released in 2005. She resurfaced in 2008 with “Best, Best,” but her seventh studio effort, tentatively titled Block Party, has yet to see the light of day.

He says he just got verses from Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Jadakiss for the mixtape. There will be a few original beats on it. Then he denies rumors of him and Adrienne Bailon dating.
